Love this dishwasher!

We have only had this dishwasher for about 3 weeks now, but it is great so far! Very quiet, and most importantly, it gets my dishes clean! Before we bought this Whirlpool dishwasher, we unfortunately had a Kenmore and a GE dishwasher, but they both were always breaking down and didn't get our dishes clean!!

I purchased this as part of a new home package. Had a Kitchenaid previously. This washer leaves water/condensation causing spotting on dishes and glassware. I'm not very happy with this appliance.

Have used this dishwasher for three months now.
Pros: Cleans the dishes; Has large handle for hanging a dish towel. Quiet.
Cons: Expensive. Paid $539. Shortest cycle is 1 hr. Does not dry dishes adequately even with 18min drying cycle added to one hour dish wash cycle. Bottom dish rack of poor design. Dishes topple over when opening and closing door. Top mounted control panel difficult to see when door closed. Small power on light display on front of machine is pin
point size, not easy to see. Plastic interior, only interior door is stainless.
I believe the price point of this dishwasher should be $400.

I got this recently. Have been pleased with it's performance. It's very quiet. Cleans well.
the only thing is the silverware container located on the door panel, seems collecting water. Most dishes are dry after finish washing, except the silverware. quite wet.

Our dishes, pots and pans and silverware are cleaner now with just one cycle. Also there isnt as much noise with this dishwasher as the old one. And it looks great with our whirlpool fridge. All we need now is a matching whirlpool range and range hood.

This dishwasher is super quiet and has the silverware basket that can fit inside the door to save space. The bottom rack holds a lot. The top rack is a little tight and there isn't really space for wider mugs. The racks seem to be made of a cheaper, lighter plastic than my last dishwasher. It has hidden/top controls and does a pretty good job.

If your Whirlpool dishwasher stops washing dishes intermittently and then eventually stops washing altogether, you are not alone. Why? Because it was designed to do so. The recirculation pump is the problem. Instead of using bearings in the motor, Whirlpool opted for bushings made of a soft material. The motor shaft wears this material very quickly. The only thing that slows the wear is when the motor starts rubbing on the wall of the motor housing. Soon after one of two things is going to happen. Either the motor will stop working or it will wear through the housing and leak water all over your floor. Luckily mine failed moments before wearing through the side. Expect it to have issues around 3 years. Of course you can't find replacement bushings, but Whirlpool will well you a new $10 pump for $150. I installed this washer one week ago and have used it three times. I'm very pleased so far. It's quieter than I thought it would be. DIshes are coming out clean and dry. I especially like the one hour cycle which we use almost exclusively (we pre-rinse our dishes)

I expected better quality from a Whirlpool product. This is the second Whirpool dishwasher in 7 years. This most recent product seems to be of overall lesser quality of construction. In the first week a stopper on upper rack broke. And we have been experiencing repeated caking of the soap dispenser which we did not experience with our previous unit. Additionally, the noise level of the unit is louder than expected.

It was installed 3 weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. The only feature I am having trouble getting use to is the silverware holder. The cover with little slots to put silverware in to keep them separated is a good idea but most of my silverware will not fit in the slots so I don't use it. It also seems to hold less silverware.

Bought this about 6 months ago and already a motor has gone as well as a wiring harness. From what I am understanding this a common occurence with this dishwasher. Whirlpool just says lets repair it. A repair tech must come out three times. I don't want repair. I want my money back, but that is not an option.

The first one we had did the same thing, We are very frustrated... especially we cant put in our wood floor yet.... every other dishwasher we have owned, this has never been am issue??????

I bought this dishwasher a few weeks ago after an old Kenmore model died. So far it has impressed me. Does good work cleaning, even on the hour wash cycle. For the money, this model seemed well assembled and sturdy compared to the very cheap models. I'd recommend to others in search of a dishwasher.

We bought this to install in a lake house. I have been using this dishwasher for a few months now. It is fairly quiet but it takes so long to run a normal cycle, 2.5 hours. My dishwasher in our primary residence only takes 1 hour for a normal cycle. It also seems to be turning my clear class hazy. Any suggestions?
